Tel Aviv, Israel, December 14, 2015 – RFOptic was selected by Honeywell to supply its industry leading Optical Delay Line (ODL) Solution. This particular type of Optical Delay Line is used to inject delays of up to 300 microseconds to an RF signal. In fact, an ODL is a RF Over Fiber (RFoF) system with defined delay line(s). ODL’s are used in radar and microwave systems for calibration.
RF Optic’s Optical Delay Line can have multiple delay lines that can be selected manually or remotely. RF Optic provides ODL product line lines at L-S-C-X-Ku and sub bands. RF Optic’s solutions come in 2 models:
• Distinct Delay Line model can have up to 8 distinct delay lines.
• Progressive Delay Line Model can have up to 8 delay line that can be combined to create 155 variations.
